Who are we?

A group of local volunteers who give neighbourly help to the folk of Hayling Island

What we do

• Provide transport to hospitals, doctor, dental and other medical appointments
• Errands, eg collecting prescriptions, help with shopping
• Practical domestic help, eg changing of light bulbs, hanging curtains
• Befriending those who are alone or socially isolated; giving carers a break for an hour or two

About our volunteers

• All volunteers have been Criminal Records Bureau (RRB) checked
• Drivers' vehicles are fully insured, taxed and roadworthy
• Any information about the clients who use our service is treated in a confidential manner

How much does it cost

• We are a voluntary organisation. All volunteers give their time free of charge
• We do however pay our drivers mileage expenses
• If you request transport, you will be given an indication of the suggested donation at the rime of booking
